Sunday, Jan 11, 2026 from 10 am to 1 pm AWST
Overview

Slow down, get creative, and learn to craft your own wet-felted playmat in a cozy, guided morning of mindful making with wool.

Step into a slow, mindful morning of crafting and bring your imagination to life with wool. In this workshop, local fibre artist Cristina will guide you through the gentle art of wet felting, helping you design and create your very own one-of-a-kind felted playmat.

This workshop is perfect for Caregivers, Early Childhood Educators and felting enthusiasts who love to nurture creativity in themselves and the children around them. All materials are provided, including 100% wool in a rainbow of colours. As well as coffee or tea for a cozy morning. Simply show up, relax, and enjoy the crafting process.

You’ll have the freedom to design a mat that reflects themes, colours, or stories meaningful to your child or classroom. Wet-felted playmats support learning through exploring texture, small worlds, seasonal themes, and storytelling. Inviting children to imagine and play

Take time to pause, create something meaningful, and connect with your hands, with your ideas, and with a community of makers.
