Mind the Gap: Working with High Performance Teams

Employers and recruiters rate team work as an important employability skill, and skills in working with teams become more and more important in the transition from student to career professional. This workshop is designed to help prepare graduate students for the challenges of entering the world of work.
This 3-hour workshop presented by the Centre for Workplace Leadership in the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Melbourne will support graduate students in developing effective skills in working with teams. No matter your background or experience level, you will practice and develop the skills you need.
Through a combination of facilitated class discussions and experiential exercises, participants will be introduced to the following:
Inputs, processes, and outcomes associated with effective teamwork
Evidence-based advice about leading and participating in team-based work
Collaborating with others to work through and adapt to a changing environment
Limited to 20 places. Only $25 for graduate students.
Afternoon tea and refreshments will be provided.
