Mind the Gap: Selling your degree

Taking a step from student to full-time career professional is not always an easy path. This workshop is designed to help prepare graduate students for the challenges of entering the world of work.
This 3 hour workshop will help you identify how your degree is relevant and attractive to future employers and in professional contexts. You will participate in exercises that will help you explore skills and attributes gained during your academic degree and confident communication to enhance your professional profile. This workshop is useful for students at any stage of their degree.
Limited to 20 places. Only $25 for graduate students.
Afternoon tea and refreshments will be provided.
Key content and exercises:
Identifying and communicating about hard and soft skills/attributes
Developing strategies for transferring skills to professional contexts
Establishing personal and professional goals and plans
Reflection and feedback
It is recommended that participants complete a brief questionnaire as pre-work, 3 weeks prior to participating. This is easily administered online and will be sent to selected attendees.
