Join the experienced Silkroads Chinese calligraphy instructor, Choi, to try this ancient art form – no expectations, no pressure, just time to relax and enjoy some arty time out.
Chinese Calligraphy is both a form of writing and artistic expression that can be traced back to the Shang dynasty of 1100BC. The flowing form of calligraphy is achieved through use of special brushes and ink on paper or silk. Expert tuition is given and then you have time to experiment with this ancient art form, while the instructor assists as needed.
Tuition is free.
Brushes, ink and paper supplied for $5 per person paid on the day.
Parking is available outside the library or in the lower carpark off South Tce.
