Mike “The Rock Doctor” Schwartz will speak to the importance of movement as it relates to a career in the music industry.

About this Event

In this hybrid lecture and workshop, Mike “The Rock Doctor” Schwartz will speak to the importance of movement as it relates to a career in the music industry.

You'll leave this workshop knowing the difference between exercise and training, how to prevent and overcome overstrain injuries, stretching and strengthening techniques for the studio or the road, and how to use movement to build strength, vitality and happiness in all areas of the music professional’s life.

Canadian Health & Fitness guru Mike “The Rock Doctor” Schwartz is known as the Trusted Authority of Muso Wellness. As a musician himself, Mike learned early in his career how demanding the lifestyle of a touring musician was. With over 12 years of experience in strength and conditioning, post-rehabilitation and athletic performance, Mike now blends his passions and is leading the charge on musician wellness education. He’s authored “The Musician’s Guide To Surviving The Rock Star Lifestyle”, he’s a keynote speaker at conferences such as Canadian Music Week, Australian Music Week and BreakOut West, and he continues to work one on one with musicians and industry alike.

On a mission to help others hit their peak performance, Schwartz is inspiring and empowering individuals to live healthier, happier lives both on and off the stage.

Join Abbey Road Institute Melbourne and Mike Schwartz on November 15 to have your questions answered, get relief from old injuries or tightness, and learn how to make movement your medicine with The Rock Doctor himself.
