Abstract - Metagenomics: The Ultimate Overview' by Chris Noune

Metagenomics is a rapidly evolving discipline with a wide range of applications and implications, such as developing clinical management plans for patients, and identifying disease-causing microbes. In this SIG, Dr Christopher Noune will discuss AGRF's capabilities and services in this field of research, including an overview of first-, second-, and third-generation sequencing, provide tips for designing the best-outcome metagenomics projects and describe the current limitations with each technique that should be considered. Refreshments will be served after the presentation.
