Event description
Microbats of Melbourne's Suburbs.

About this Event

Microbats are tiny insect eating bats that are more common in our suburbs than most people realise. Due to their small size and nocturnal behaviour they often slip under the radar. To help us understand their diversity and behaviour in an urban context we’ve invited La Trobe University ecologist, Danielle Eastick to share her research into these fascinating creatures. This evening will involve a walk and a talk around habitat hotspot, Yarran Dheran in Mitcham. It is suitable for families with older kids as we will be out late, just like the bats. In the case of wet weather or a total fire ban the event will be cancelled so please book so we can contact you.
