Event description

Description

The roundtable is an opportunity to discuss the findings from the Messages from the Frontline research project and gain consensus on key themes.

The roundtable will be held at the University of Sydney on 31 May 2018 and is by invitation only.

MESSAGES FROM THE FRONTLINE: With a primary objective of creating an opportunity for people on the ‘frontline’ of domestic and family violence services to offer their ideas and opinions, this study explored the perceptions of and policy advice from front line workers in NSW, Victoria and WA regarding the effectiveness of the Australian Government’s policy, the National Plan to reduce Violence Against Women and their Children. This study effectively explored grassroots perspectives of policy relevance and effectiveness as well as what needs to happen to improve services to hold perpetrators of violence to account and to ensure the safety of women and children who experience domestic violence.
