FROM THE FARMERS’ MARKET, TO MY KITCHEN IN STANMORE: WE’LL SHOP FOR SEASONAL INGREDIENTS; SPEND A COUPLE OF HOURS COOKING A TRADITIONAL ITALIAN LUNCH; AND SIT DOWN TO ENJOY A LEISURELY MEAL TOGETHER OVER A GLASS OF WINE.

They say “the early bird catches the worm”, so we will meet early at Carriageworks Farmers’ Market (Eveleigh, NSW). Together we’ll meet some of my favourite stallholders, enjoy tastings, and shop for local, seasonal ingredients. Weather-permitting, we’ll continue to soak in the atmosphere of the market over coffee, before heading to my kitchen in Stanmore.

We will spend the next couple of hours preparing a three-course lunch that will generally always include a pasta (with seasonal sauce). Ingredients will be of the highest possible quality: strictly seasonal; organic where possible; ethically sourced eggs, seafood and meat; South Australian extra virgin olive oil; Murray River pink sea salt……

We’ll finish in my light-filled dining room where we’ll sit down to enjoy what we have cooked with a glass of matched wine.

This special workshop is limited to just four to five participants (four when there is a ‘guest’ teacher) - and there will be plenty of time to ask questions.

Transport will be provided to my home in Stanmore, though you may also drive if you prefer
What's included: This experience will include market tour and tastings, printed recipes, a three-course lunch with matched wine, and an apron to wear in the class
