Melanie Grevis-James

Managing Director, Planet Marketing

With over 30 years of marketing experience, Melanie Grevis-James has had an extensive career within Australia and Europe and has a wealth of marketing and small business expertise to share as a mentor.

Since 1999, Melanie has operated her marketing agency and consulting business in Brisbane, Planet Marketing. She provides a wide range of marketing services to clients across many different industries, with niche knowledge and experience with small manufacturing businesses, professional services, and the tourism industry.

Melanie has a very personal approach and brings this same approach to her mentoring. She has previously been a mentor for QTIC’s Youth Mentoring Program.

Melanie’s expertise in developing brands and strategic marketing plans for businesses ensures all marketing activities support overall business goals and strategies. She also has specific experience with logo development, content marketing, campaign development, website development, publishing and the media. So if you’re starting a new business or have no marketing experience, Melanie can help you get on the right track.

Melanie has a Bach. Business degree; and is a Certified Practicing Marketer with the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI CPM). She is an active member of the Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC), Ecotourism Australia, the Australian Society of Travel Writers (ASTW), and The Hills & Districts Chamber of Commerce. Melanie is a current judge for the Queensland Tourism Awards, as appointed by QTIC. She also volunteers marketing services to local NFP community groups and manages a local business networking group, Westside Business Heart, based in the Western suburbs of Brisbane.
