Event description
HACSU Mental Health State-Wide Stop Work!

About this event

Join your fellow HACSU members and send a message to the Victorian Government that mental health matters!

On May 26, HACSU members from around the state will be taking industrial action with a mass members meeting happening in Melbourne.

After a BBQ and our meeting at Trades Hall, HACSU will march on Parliament where both houses will be sitting. We're sending a message to Acting Premier & Mental Health Minister James Merlino and Treasurer Tim Pallas that mental health workers are tired of being taken for granted.

This is your action. Your EBA. Your workplace — and your future.

We need HACSU members from across the state to stand together May 26.

Register now (note: your registration will also act as your meal ticket).

For any questions (e.g. accessibility, logistics), please contact your organiser.

Reminder of Stop-Work Timings (as notified to the employers)

11am to 3pm for: Alfred, Austin, Eastern, Forensicare, Melbourne, Mercy, Peninsula and St Vincent's
9am to 5pm for: Albury Wodonga, Ballarat, Barwon, Bendigo, Goulburn Valley, Latrobe and South West.
Only the above listed Area Mental Health Services are able to take protected industrial action.

We acknowledge that Trades Hall stands on the lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation, traditional owners and continuing custodians of this land. We pay our respects to their elders past, present and emerging. This land was stolen and never ceded. This always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
