About this event

Around 1 in 5 Australian adults experience a common mental illness each year. Completing a MHFA course will give you the skills and confidence to support a friend, family member, co-worker or peer who might be experiencing difficulties. Learn signs and symptoms of common mental health problems, where and how to get help, and what sort of help has been shown to be effective.

Mental Health First Aid offers evidence informed best practice guidelines, and is an internationally recognised certification that is a great addition to any CV.

Participants who complete the course can take the online Accreditation Assessment in order to become an Accredited Mental Health First Aider valid for 3 years.

Date: 23rd and 24th November

Time: 9am-4pm

Location: Room 343, General Purpose South Building

What do you need to bring? A pen and notebook. Manuals for the course are provided, as well as, light catering for lunch.

Note: To get your certification, you will need to attend both days .
