Mental Health First Aid

This two day course is on 25 & 26 May from 9am to 4.30pm.
This Mental Health First Aid two day course provides the skills for you to assist people experiencing a mental health crisis, mental health problems or the early stages of a mental illness. Participants will learn the signs and symptoms of mental health problems, where and how to get help and what sort of help has been shown by research to be effective.
Course content includes topics such as: depression; anxiety; psychosis; substance misuse; suicidal thoughts & behaviours; non-suicidal self-injury; panic attacks; and aggression.
This course is ideally suited for community minded people who actively participate in community activities and events, such as volunteers, club members and staff, community organisations, etc.
Cost: $30 (Includes MHFA Manual + some training materials, lunch provided).
