Memoir: A book of your own
Ordinary lives can make gripping stories, if told well. Master the magic of memoir with one of Queensland's most awarded memoirists. Kristina Olsson will help you identify your significant moments and show you how to recount them in the context of your broader life story.

About Kristina Olsson
Kristina Olsson is the author of Boy, Lost: A Family Memoir, which won a Queensland Literary Award, a New South Wales Premier's Literary Award and a Western Australian Premier's Book Award. She has also been awarded the national Kibble Prize for women writers. Kristina has worked extensively as a teacher of creative writing and journalism.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
This course is for participants aged 18 years and above. If you are accessing the QWC member tickets you may be asked to show proof of membership.
What can I bring into the event?
You can bring either pen and paper or a laptop along with you to write with. If you do bring a laptop, please remember to bring a power adaptor if necessary.

What's the refund policy?
If Queensland Writers Centre cancels an event, we will try to reschedule it for a later date. If we cannot reschedule the event, or if you are unable to attend on the amended date, your payment will be refunded in full.
