Melbourne SOUP is a micro-crowdfunding initiative celebrating and supporting entrepreneurial, community based and creative projects in Melbourne. For $10, attendees receive food and a vote, and hear up to four pitches from individuals, community groups, artists, social entrepreneurs and more talking about projects that will benefit the city.

OUR FIRST MELBOURNE SOUP IS TAKING PLACE THE FIRST SUNDAY OF FEBRUARY, AT fabl - A CO-WORKING SPACE ON MOUNT ST, PRAHRAN.

The format is simple;

FOUR minute presentations, from

FOUR local people, followed by

FOUR questions from the audience.

At the event, attendees eat, talk, share resources, enjoy some live music and vote on the project they think will benefit the local area the most.

At the end of the night, the ballots are counted and winner goes home with the money raised on the night to carry out their project. Winners come back to a future SOUP dinner to report their project’s progress.

We'll have some live music from May Kavelin and Cameron Cruwys as well and we encourage you to BYOB (corkage is pay as you feel and goes to the winners total).
