Our new and improved MBS workshop that provide participants with small group learning, pre and post workshops quizzes and education, MBS handbook for general practice and face to face question time for Practice Managers and General Practitioners.

Explaining the Medicare Benefits Schedule - Categories and Explanatory Notes
Understanding the layout of the MBS and how it relates to your practice and billings will give you a good start to legal and ethical billing. You will be provided with a specially produced MBS Condensed Version for GPs that will have sections only relevant to general practice and separation of consultations and procedures.

Combination Billing The revolution of General Practice with the realisation that combination billing was legal AND ethical, giving the Doctor more time to spend with their patients and provide excellent care. We teach you the rules of combination billing and for those who have been to our workshops previously, this will be a great revision session to enable you to further evolve your billing practices.

Documentation 'If it wasn't documented it didn't happen' - MBS compliance requires medical notes to be written at the time of consultation and to comply with the MBS requirements for the item number billed. We provide you with an easy to follow framework for documentation and billing, as well as shortcuts to save time.

Procedural Item Numbers Skin, fractures, suturing and more - we take you through step by step instructions for billing item numbers, documentation and normal aftercare restrictions.

Medicare Audit Step by step details on the Medicare Audit process and how you can avoid stress by working with your MDO to provide the information required to Medicare.

Health Assessment and Care Plans As the two most audited item numbers these templates and documentation need to be perfected for each item number billed. Understanding the restrictions on co-billing and the allowable co-billing item numbers will assist you with improved billing and rebates for patients. Patient eligibility, goal setting and reviews are also explained.

Mental Health - Care plans, consultations and telehealth Carefully produced Mental health care plans can be beneficial to both the clinician and the patient. Working within the MBS criteria and maximising the time with patients by utilising all the eligible MBS item numbers will allow the practitioner to provide better health care.
