Chelsea Ford bio

Chelsea Ford is a highly regarded growth strategist, mentor and facilitator.

Chelsea has over 20 years of senior executive experience in dynamic organisations including Kellogg, Nestle, Spotless,Douwe Egberts, Dyson, Staples and Diabetes NSW.

Throughout the past five years she has been admired and awarded for her entrepreneurial success as an effective coach and mentor to enterprises large and small, and to leaders making a difference. Chelsea was named a Top 50 small business leader in 2017 by Inside Small Business Magazine.

Chelsea is also the founder of online platform Females in Food™, a community that inspires, connects and educates women in the broad reaching food and beverage, health, hospitality and tourism industries to help them grow their business, their profile and their confidence.

Chelsea advocates for purpose based business objectives and conscious capitalism. She also advocates for increasing candour at the Boardroom table, citing diversity as a key driver.

Chelsea is driven by the alarming fact that 40% of single Australian women retire in poverty [Australian Industry Super]and less than 3.1% of venture capital funding is provided to women led startups, despite female entrepreneurs starting companies at twice the rate as male entrepreneurs [Inc.com].

A key attribute to Chelsea’s counsel is her encouragement of women to 'lean in' and for people to understand their unconscious bias.

Chelsea holds a Master of Applied Social Science (Management) and a Bachelor of Arts.
