Join Lucy for her talk and workshop on Speculative design ethics for Melbourne Design Week 2021 ‘Design the world that you want’.

Lucy's talk and workshop forms part of her exhibition ‘The dangerous power of speculation’, which invites participants to design the future by responding to ethical dilemmas leveraging speculative design.

The exhibition is a rollercoaster ride through impossible questions where each response builds upon the last, strengthening or weakening the ethical direction of that future through each choice.  

The exhibition presents a visual feast of alternate realities to prime your choices, exploring topics like surveillance and AI, which provocatively challenge ethical norms. 
  
The exhibition puts you in an immersive, communal experience designed to push your own ethical boundaries and reclaim your future. 

Lucy's talk will unpack her 4+ years of research for her exhibition, and provide insights into the exhibition design, speculative design and design ethics and the role they play for designers and society as we head into uncertain new futures. Lucy's workshop will take participants through the discovery of their own ethics and explore ways to apply them.

The evening will include networking and refreshments.
