On the day the Race Stops the Nation, The Rotary Club of Brisbane Airport will host an event not to be missed - the inaugural Melbourne Cup Luncheon at the Novotel Brisbane Airport.
You will be greeted with champagne on arrival, treated to a full buffett lunch and win big in the silent and live auctions but most importantly, show your support for Rotary and our chosen beneficiaries - RACQ Careflight, the Rod Walker Memorial Fund and Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children. We will also be running sweeps and raffles on the day.
The event will start 12.00pm with 11.30am arrival on November 1st. Tickets are $69, with discounts for groups of four or more. Should you wish to purchase tickets for a group please contact Samantha Quinney on 0420536817 or via email on firstname.lastname@example.org
Be sure to secure your ticket early as seats are limited.
Where will proceeds go from the event?
This year the Rotary Club of Brisbane Airport will be raising funds for RACQ Careflight, the Rod Walker Memorial Fund and Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children.
RACQ Careflight operates helicopters and air ambulance jets to supply critical care doctors and paramedics throughout Australia. They attend to more than 10 patients a day and have airlifted over 30,000 patients over the last 30 years.
The Rod Walker Memorial Fund was established to assist Rod Walker's vision to have unmanned aircraft routinely benefit all Australians in applications such as search and rescue, bushfire fighting, emergency response, environmental and infrastructure management, and the provision of aerial services to rural communities.
The Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children ("ROMAC") provides medical treatment for children from developing countries in the form of life saving and/or dignity restoring surgery not accessible to them in their home country. To date, ROMAC has changed and saved the lives of over 400 children, enabling them and their families to live normal, happy lives.
We want to see the good work of these organisations continue by showing our support this Melbourne Cup Day.
