The Melbourne Beginners Curling Competition is back in 2022!

If you missed our last sell-out MBCC then here's your chance! You could even start your run to qualify for the 2026 winter games!

Yes, Curling is that thing played on ice with brooms, big polished stones and shouting. Serious stuff in the Olympics but this competition... not so serious. Never curled before? Then this comp is for YOU!

Grab three mates, colleagues, school mums/dads, footy teammates, classmates, or even those people you see on the train or tram everyday, and enter a team of four. Otherwise, if you're not going to dob in anyone else, or can't persuade quite enough folks to make a full team, then that's cool, too - just bring yourself, or as many as you are able to round-up, and we'll get you into a full team.

Everyone you'll be playing with and against will be new to Curling too, so all that's required is enthusiasm - no skill or talent needed and all abilities welcome! Some of our experienced curlers will teach you the basics, and then be on-hand to help as much or as little as you want during your games. All equipment is provided. The competition will run over 4 Monday nights: 31 January, 7 February, 21 February and 28 February 2022 - 8:00pm to 10:00pm. Winners buy opponents a drink at the bar after each game or anger the curling gods.
