Melanoma March Newcastle is a fun community event where participants can walk or march along a short course to raise awareness about melanoma and funds for life-changing research.
Melanoma March Newcastle will start from the beautiful Dixon Park. From there, marchers will walk north along the Bathers Way before turning around at the lookout near Bar Beach Carpark. On the return leg, participants can choose to walk back along the Bathers Way or head down to the beach toward Merewether Surfhouse, and returning to Dixon Park.
Registrations on the day open from 8:30am. Please make sure you give yourself enough time before the walk commences to check in. The march will commence from 9:30am.
Participating in Melanoma March is a great way to show your support for melanoma research, raise funds to find a cure and have a fun day out with your community. All funds raised will go towards crucial research dedicated to finding a cure for melanoma.
Dixon Park is located by the beach in Merewether. There is ample parking near the park, however some parking has time restrictions. Dixon Park is also accessible by bus. If coming from Newcastle Train Station or Newcastle CBD, there are a number of bus services that stop within walking distance of the park (225, 201, 320, 310).
