Event description

Ian Burow is a local fifth generation farmer with 31 years’ experience. Ian's business, Green Drop Organics, has been growing sustainable organic and biodynamic crops on the same farm for more than 50 years. Ian's passion is teaching people how to grow nutritious food, drawing on his extensive knowledge of the science of soil. In this workshop, Ian will focus on trouble shooting in the veggie patch.

Is this workshop for you?

Are you sometimes frustrated when things don’t’ go to plan in the veggie patch?

Would you like to learn how to recognise the signs that things may be going awry?

Would you like the chance to pick the brains of an experienced organic farmer, and ask those questions that have been bothering you for a while?

This workshop is for gardeners, farmers, landscapers, and anyone interested in sustainable agriculture.

You will learn about:

  • How to apply simple home-made remedies that don’t cost a lot of money
  • Ways to improve the productivity of your veggie patch e.g. how to adjust the ratio of male to female plants in the garden
  • How to bring the earth worms back into your soil.

The day will include:
