Event description

Description

Do you have a bold idea? Are you an inventor? Ever wanted to start your own company? Where do you begin? How do you drive a startup, engage with entrepreneurs, and accelerate Australian innovation?

As part of the Industry Mentoring Network in STEM (IMNIS) you can connect with some dynamic individuals at this event – Meet the Entrepreneur. Invited founders and inventors will take us on an entrepreneurial adventure, highlight their successes and challenges along the way, and share their top pointers for collaboration and key advice for entrepreneurs-to-be to catapult their career!

Join our engaging speakers, special guests, mentors and mentees at Creative Space 99 – Backstage, Crown Lane (at the rear of 99 Crown Street), Darlinghurst, Sydney. This meetup will run from 7:30 am - 9:30 am, with talks from our invited entrepreneurs followed by Q&A between 8:00 am - 9:00 am. This is an excellent opportunity to meet outstanding leaders in STEM over a coffee.

IMNIS is an award-winning initiative of the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering (ATSE) that connects motivated PhD students in STEM with executive-level industry mentors. IMNIS aims to narrow the cultural gap that exists between industry and academia in Australia.

A light breakfast will be served starting at 7.30am.
