Meet Samanta, Chocolatier, Monsieur Truffe. Enjoy 3 chocolate tastings, a Grazing Table for dinner & an amazing plated dessert.

About this Event

Join us at East Elevation, for a social chocolate tasting session with Samanta Bakker, the award winning Chocolatier at Monsieur Truffe.

Join us from 6.30pm for a complimentary drink on arrival and a Grazing Table for dinner.

Hear Samanta explain her passion for chocolate and how the team develop their product range, while enjoying 3 tastings from their 'bean to bar' range.

Then indulge in a chocolate brownie served with a chocolate mousse & white chocolate praline accompanied with a citrus sauce created by Michelin Chef Lasse Povlsen especially for this event.

More about Samanta: A Chocolatier and Chocolate Maker, Samanta was born in Argentina, starting her culinary career there in 1999 by training at the L’Ecole Hospitality and Culinary School. After completing three years of cooking studies, Samanta gained great experience as a Pastry Chef at several Argentinean restaurants, cafes and pastry shops.

Samanta found her passion for chocolate after moving to Australia in 2005 while working at Koko Black, where she worked for five years, responsible for production, training and product development across all the chocolate salons. She joined Monsieur Truffe as Head of Production in August 2015, responsible for the chocolate production and product development.

Since joining Monsieur Truffe, Samanta has received three ICA awards for her Bean to Bar chocolates: one Bronze medal in 2017, followed by two Silver medals in 2018 for her innovative Australian Plum Chocolate.
