Enjoy la dolce vita with Silvia Colloca, a woman of many talents: professional actress and opera singer, published author, blogger and sensational cook. In her third cookbook, La Dolce Vita, Silvia responds to the misconception that Italian food is unhealthy with her honest, authentic guide to ‘the sweet life’.
After spending her childhood in the kitchens of her mother and grandmothers, Silvia absorbed much of their Italian culinary heritage. These childhood memories inspired Silvia to launch her culinary career, which now comprises two cookbooks, SBS cooking series Made in Italy and successful blog Silvia’s Cucina.
Since moving to Australia, Silvia has kneaded, beaten, rolled, chopped and pounded her way to an authentic Italian identity in her Sydney kitchen.
Silvia will appear in her own upcoming series, Silvia’s Italian Table, to screen on the ABC.
Meet Silvia and enjoy food inspired by her latest book as part of University House’s Meet the Chef dinner series. Silvia Colloca will be in conversation with Natasha Rudra, Life & Entertainment Editor of the Canberra Times on the night.
