Event description

Description

Slip through time to the Siege of Masada.

Travel back 2000 years to the legendary Roman attack on the city of Masada with historian and author Jodie Lane as she talks about the inspiration behind her timeslip novel The Siege of Masada.

About The Siege of Masada : Gwyn is a nineteen year old history student on holiday from university with her family in Israel, when she discovers a strange device that accidentally sends her back in time two thousand years to the legendary siege of Masada. There, a nationalist group of Jews called the Sicarii are making their last stand against the Romans who have invaded their country. Captured by the Sicarii, Gwyn must use her wits to survive - with a little help from the strange time travel device - and escape before the Roman attack provokes the defenders into committing mass suicide.
