Meet grey-headed flying foxes: a guided walk - afternoon session
Overview
Learn about the ecological history and significance of the grey-headed flying foxes on this hike guided by Davita Coronel, President of the Friends of Bats and Bushcare. Together we'll explore the biodiversity of the area, from the native vegetation to the nocturnal creatures who call the riverbank home.
Meeting at Bellbird Park Picnic Area.
Please bring drinking water, wear comfortable walking footwear and dress for the weather. We'd recommend bringing binoculars (but we will have a few pairs that we can bring and share for those who don't have them).
This experience has been designed with little minds in mind so bring the family and prepare for an afternoon of nature fun!
We kindly ask you to leave your dogs at home, as barking can distress the flying foxes.
Please note that we may cancel/postpone this event if the weather is inappropriate - you will be notified 24 hours beforehand via email, so please check your emails in the lead up to the event.
