Medically supervised injecting room tour | Friday 1 November 8:15am to 9am

Following a large number of Victorian lives lost to drug-related overdoses, the Victorian Government made the decision to trial a medically supervised injecting room (MSIR) at North Richmond Community Health.

The medically supervised injecting room is open for tour and information sessions for those who wish to learn more about the trial and how the facility operates. The room is closed to clients on Fridays from 8:00am to 9am and tours will take place during this time.

This tour is not suitable for:

• Media (including student journalists). No recording (photos, video or audio) is permitted on MSIR tours. Attendees cannot use any information gained from their MSIR tour for any publication without prior approval. About the sessions

• Each session is led by medically supervised injecting room staff members.
• Sessions are free and accommodate 15 people at a time.
• You must register to attend.
• Tours are restricted to persons aged 18 years or over.
• Sessions run for 45 minutes.

When you arrive

• Please arrive 10 minutes before your tour time.
• When you arrive, please check-in at North Richmond Community Health's reception on the ground floor.
• You must show one of the following forms of ID when signing in for the tour: Australian driver licence, passport or Australian/State Government issued Proof of Age/Identity card.
