About this Event
Media Briefing
PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE AROUND THE FACILITY WITH HEAD LIGHTS ON, PARK LIGHTS ACCEPTED. THIS IS FOR THE SAFETY OF THE RACERS.
IF YOU ARE SEEN, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE FACILITY.
- Motorcycle sport is dangerous
- You are exposed to certain risks
- You may be injured physically, mentally, or worse
- Your equipment may be damaged, lost or destroyed
- Motorcycling Australia does not provide insurance cover for you or your equipment
- You must sign on at the Race Secretary’s office and by signing-on you acknowledge and accept the risks I have just mentioned
- If at any time you are not prepared to accept these risks you are welcome to return your media pass and vest to the Race Secretary and leave the venue
- You must wear your pass and media vest at all times during the event and must show your pass when requested to do so by an official
- You must have at least one line of protection between yourself and the race circuit, i.e. stay behind a concrete wall or tyre barrier when in the vicinity of the circuit
- Be aware that debris may be ejected unpredictably by motorcycles and can travel past the barriers
- You MUST NOT cross the track at any time when motorcycles are on the circuit
- Should you wish to cross the circuit when there is no on-track activity please approach the nearest official and request permission
- You are allowed to position yourself at turn 16 and turn 18 but ARDC will not allow anyone to go to turn 17 AT ANY TIME
- If you are in pit lane be aware that motorcycles will be using the fast lane for the duration of the event at a speed of up to 40kph. When leaving pit wall to go to the garages you must take care not to impede the motorcycles’ progress along pit lane
- If you wish to access the infield bounded by turn 5, turn 6 and turn 15B (i.e. the Corporate Hill area) this will only be permitted when motorcycles are not on the circuit. Access will be from the turn 4 gate and you are to cross directly to turn 15B. Prior to entering the circuit you are to request permission from the flag marshal at turn 4. Please note: once you are in the infield area you will have to remain there until track activity ceases. This means you will be there for the duration of any warm-up session or endurance race and will not be allowed to cross back to turn 4 until all bikes are clear of the circuit after the chequered flag
- If you are deemed to place yourself in a dangerous position, or act outside the scope of your role here today, you will have your accreditation cancelled and will be asked to leave the venue immediately
- Should you have any questions or are at any time unsure of your responsibilities you should see the Race Secretary who will then contact me for clarification if necessary
