Whatever your dietary persuasion there is a general understanding that going meatless, even one day a week, benefits animals, the environment and our health. So, whether you are stuck in a rut and are struggling to come up with a delicious and nutritious meal, or, eating plant based foods is your life choice – then this class will have plenty to offer you.
We will explore a range of hearty plant-based meals that will satisfy. We will look at ways to gain the most nutrients from your plant based foods while preparing them in beautiful and delicious ways. We will learn to lean a little more on some simple pantry items to make gorgeous family meals.
Recipes include (but are not limited to):
- Millet croquettes
- Roast veggie & quinoa salad with fetta & rocket
- Vegetable fritters – a master recipe for all seasons
- Du Puy Lentil & walnut salad with labne
- Miso baked eggplant
- Arame tapenade
- Lentil Shepherd’s pie
All students will receive a recipe notebook, and there will be plenty to taste and share.
$4 per person will be donated to Grapevine Group Mackay to assist with providing SafeTALK suicide awareness training, training courses to fund more safeTALK trainers, 1000s of printed local Suicide Support Cards and awareness advertising campaigns.
