Measures and Initiatives (LYBSBWHS410)
Overview
This course aims to equip participants with the skills and knowledge to scope, develop, and implement effective work-related health and safety (WHS) measures. Participants will learn how to access information, identify statutory and non-statutory initiatives, consult with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
Upon completion, participants will be equipped to contribute effectively to the development, implementation, and evaluation of work-related health and safety measures, fostering a safer and healthier workplace.
Training Program
1- Assist with identifying legislative and other requirements
2- Assist with implementing initial incident response procedures
3- Assist with collecting WHS information and data relevant to an investigation
4- Assist incident investigations
On completion of the course, learners will be able to:
- Access and evaluate data on WHS measures related to legislative and health promotion requirements.
- Differentiate between statutory and non-statutory health and safety initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and evaluate factors impacting health and safety.
- Design initiatives that meet legislative obligations or support health promotion programs.
- Plan and resource the implementation of health and safety measures.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and organisational policies.
- Apply effective evaluation methods to review health and safety measures.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
