Meaningful Movies | 'Mina Walking'
Amnesty International presents the latest edition of Meaningful Movies with ‘Mina Walking.’ Thisaward winning film follows Mina, an impulsive twelve-year-old Afghan street seller sees her future slipping away when she is forced to neglect her education and walk the streets of Kabul to support her fragmented family. This fictitious account of a week in a young girl's life is representative of the current struggle of a generation of young Afghans who are trying to shake off the echoes of oppression from the Taliban era that continues to haunt those who bore witness to it.
We will be speaking about the issues of gender rights, access to education and Amnesty's upcoming Write for Rights campaign.
