Description

“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” – Maya Angelou

We are excited to announce Hawai‘i Pacific University's first production of the #MeToo Monologues!

The #MeToo Monologues reflect the diversity of this movement, ranging from identity to gender, sexual orientation, race, and more. Some stories may be uncomfortable, some are funny, and some are hopeful: each is unique and yet there may be many moments when the audience finds the stories relatable. This experience builds a platform for creating deeper understanding and empathy, fostering dialogue, and healing that the two simple words of “me too” can provide.

Come and support your community as we share in a night of coming together to share our experiences. It will be a unifying journey that you may not otherwise have! We look forward to bringing these stories out of the dark and into the spotlight.

A Q&A will be provided after the show for those who would like to engage in dialogue.

Note: Admission at the Kumu Kahua Theater will be $5 at the door. Proceeds for this production will be split between Kumu Kahua Theater and Hawai‘i Pacific University.
