Description

What is the ME Program's CS[4]HS Workshop?

The ME Program has teamed up with Google to run a series of Free physical computing workshops for local STEM teachers. The workshops will focus upon the interaction between computers and the physical world (using sensors, data collection and analysis).

We will be using the Arduino platform (with a few variations) and a variety of coding environments. The course will be set at an Introductory level.

This workshop is for a maximum of 20 High School teachers will be on Thursday and Friday 14th and 15th September 2017 at St Pius X High School, Adamstown.

All attendees must bring their own laptop (Windows or Mac) for the workshop days. All other course requirements will be made available to attendees after their registration, for example which software to install on their laptops prior to attending, the room locations and the course times.

Participant commitment:
There will be a commitment required for each attendee to use the online course materials and community of practice to peer teach two additional teachers from STEM departments at their school. For example, a TAS teacher will enroll and peer teach another two TAS teachers or teach a Mathematics and Science teacher from their school (or other school). These additional teachers must enroll in the online course.
