Event description

Description

In 2012 the Takács Quartet became the first and only string quartet to be inducted into Gramophone magazine’s Hall of Fame. Their innovative programming includes an adaptation of Philip Roth’s Everyman with Meryl Streep, collaboration with former Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky and a drama project exploring the composition of Beethoven’s last quartets for the Colorado Shakespeare Festival.

Join us for a free Q&A session with Edward Dusinberre and Károly Schranz to discover the Quartet’s approach to programming and music-making. The Q&A is the final event in a day of activities featuring the Quartet at MCM and this event has been made possible by the generous support of Musica Viva.
