This month we're exploring the Tarkine though the lens of the Artist, as guests at the Tarkine in Motion Exhibition. As well as the beautiful artworks we'll also hear from experts, activists and artists on why the Tarkine is so important and significant. An innovative contribution to environmental art from the Bob Brown Foundation, The Tarkine in Motion project brings together artists and wilderness photographers, in a collaborative art project, designed to capture the wild and scenic landscapes of the threatened and remote region of the Tarkine in North West Tasmania, to help spread the message to the world that we need to protect this threatened wilderness. Speakers: Ben Oquist - The Australia Institute. Ben is former chief of staff of Senator Christine Milne and former Senator Bob Brown, and has long been involved in the battle for the Tarkine. he'll bring a political, economic and historical perspective to the issue. Julian Knysh - Photographer, Film-maker, Exhibitor. is one of 70 artists who spent 3 days immersed in the wilderness capturing this wild landscape. he will share is personal perspective on the project and the Tarkine wilderness.
