Mastery & Milestones: Toilet Training

The key developmental milestone for early childhood (18 months – 3 years) is toilet training. During this stage, toddlers also learn to walk, talk and do things for themselves, and their self-control and self-confidence begins to develop.

Research about the best time to toilet train and how to go about it
Four pillars of learning theory that support how children learn to toilet
Managing the challenges of toilet training
Recognising when children are having toilet training problems as opposed to continence issues, and what to do
Physiology of bedwetting, when it is a problem and how to manage/treat it
Available resources for parents
