Event description
Part of the ANU College of Law's 2020 HDR Training Program, presented by Research Skills & Training in conjunction with CoL academic staff

About this Event

All workshops will be held in the Phillipa Weeks Library, ANU Law School, on the last Friday of the month from 11am (immediately preceding the HDR Lunch). Remote access via Zoom is available for those who cannot attend in person.

How can you know that you’ve done enough work and your thesis is ready to submit? The process and decisions around examination can seem rather mysterious. This masterclass explores how examiners approach their task and identifies what they are looking for when deciding whether a thesis is good enough to award the degree. Understanding examiner expectations can help you prepare your thesis to meet the required standards. This session starts with a discussion panel of examiners, then confirms the relevant ANU regulations and processes.
