PHN Sunshine Coast in partnership with the Sunshine Coast Public Health Unit invites nurses new to General Practice Nursing to attend an 'Orientation to Immunisation Workshop'

This workshop will provide participants with a basic knowledge and understanding of the key components and resources required to deliver the Qld Health Funded Immunisation Program to your patients. This workshop has been developed with the assumption that nurses participating meet clinical competencies to administer vaccines.
Pre requisite To get the most out of this workshop participants need to pre-read pp 24 to 104 (which is all of part 2) of the Australian Immunisation Handbook 10th edition. Reading time of one hour can be counted towards professional development.
Please bring a copy of the Australian Immunisation Handbook 10th edition with you and a marker pen and/or stick on notes to highlight sections of handbook
