Event description

Description

This FREE workshop will provide start-ups and small business owners with the knowledge and tools to develop an effective marketing plan to build a customer base, increase sales and ensure a sustainable business.

Businesses only thrive by understanding their customers and using marketing strategies to meet their needs. Today’s consumers are overwhelmed by promotional ‘noise’ (in both online and off-line environments), so it’s essential that your message is the one that ‘cuts through’.

Who's it for

This workshop is for people wanting to understand marketing basics. The focus is on what marketing actually is and how to write a marketing plan for your business.

Program

Presented by RSM Business Local - Business Advisor, Jen Hanrahan, this workshop covers:

- market research

- identifying what makes your business unique

- developing your brand

- an overview of a range of marketing channels (offline and online)

- setting your marketing goals and budget

- keeping your loyal customers

- monitoring your marketing activities

You’ll receive a practical workbook that will help you to clarify your marketing plans, and there will be an opportunity to ask questions and book a follow-up 1-on-1 advice session.

About the Presenter

Jen Hanrahan has over 20 years experience in marketing and communication roles across Australia in government, not-for-profit and business. Before joining Business Local, Jen owned and ran Blaze Digital, a successful web design and online marketing consultancy in Geraldton which helped over 100 small businesses to launch and grow online.

Refreshments and nibblies provided.
