You are invited to attend one of our Market Diversification half day Workshops to be held right across Australia, renowned as one of the best ways to gain detailed knowledge of how to diversify and grow your business, here is your opportunity to talk to two industry experts and identify possible solutions for your business growth aspirations.


This free workshop is specifically designed to give small companies the skills and confidence to compete more effectively in the Retail, Foodservice and Online channels but also to assess other commercially based channels to markets that may be attractive as part of your growth strategy.

You will be provided with information and tools to:

  • Develop a strategic planning template with sequential developmental frameworks
  • Challenge or complement your current thinking about growth opportunities
  • Understand how to manage both your profitability and your Customer’s profitability
  • Understand the market assessment process and how to identify opportunities
  • Identify and communicate ‘what you are famous for’
  • Understand what you need to do to position your business for growth
  • Understand what actions you must take to create new growth platforms


Case studies and exercises will be workshopped in an open and relaxed style to enable participants to develop tangible growth strategies and tactics to enhance growth prospects for your business.


As preparation prior to attending the Workshop, attendeeswillbeinvitedtocompleteabriefreadiness’questionnaire to allow Peter and John to have some transparency into challenges that you may be facing and to focus on possible growth opportunities and solutions.



About the presenters

The 2018 Market Diversification Workshop has been developed in conjunction with ShopAbility, a team of senior FMCG executives with extensive industry experience both locally and internationally. Peter and John have an intimate knowledge of the trading dynamics and challenges that SME’s are presently exposed to, as well as the history behind many of the issues confronting the industry today.


John Day has over 40 years of General Management experience. John’s expertise covers all channels including Grocery, Convenience, General Route, Distributors, Institutional and Catering across a broad range of fresh and centre store categories.


Peter Huskins has over 40 years of experience at Board and senior executive level with major Retailers both here and overseas, with senior leadership roles in Dept Stores, Discount Dept Stores, Petrol & Convenience, Grocery and Liquor, Hardware, Shopping Centres and more and also writes for Retail World Magazine and Hardware Magazine
