Sourdough for Beginners - Yeppoon

Ever wanted to bake your own sourdough but felt overwhelmed? Join my beginner-friendly sourdough workshop in my home at The Pines Estate, Yeppoon where we’ll learn the basics, share tips, and enjoy a relaxed, social session with other local women In our community. Absolutely no experience needed! Just come along, make some new friends, and take home the confidence to bake your own beautiful bread.

Over the Christmas period my older sister taught me how to bake sourdough. In just a month I have fallen in love with the craft and found a passion for its beauty. I want to be able to share this with my community and share how easy making sourdough can be. No fancy equipment, or expensive flour, just the basic items in my kitchen and a whole lot of love as making sourdough is definitely a labour of love!

I'm excited to embark this journey with you and look forward to seeing you at one of my beginners workshops!

What to bring:

• A mixing bowl - plastic or glass. Steel is fine too; I just find the dough reacts to it and gets really sticky but it's still manageable.
• A wooden spoon or spatula
• A clean tea towel
• A container or glass jar to take home your starter
• An apron (optional but recommended!)

What I will provide on the day:

• Bakers flour
• Salt
• Filtered Water
• Starter
• Take home beginners e-guide
• Take home starter (50g)
• Coffee & tea (cows milk and almond milk available)
• Good vibes

Note: As this is a beginners class to learn the basics, unfortunately there are no GF or alternative flour options available.

Securing your spot:

Payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot

No refunds - If you're unable to attend, please let me know 24 hours prior and we can arrange to bring your payment forward to another session. I completely understand what it's like to need to change things around so, please reach out to me, I am always happy to help where I can. Cancellations after the 24 hours window will result in forfeiting your payment. Two missed/swapped sessions will so result in forfeiting your payment.
