HIGHLIGHTS:

Kingfisher loop | 8 km Loop | Difficulty: Orange | Time: allow 3 hours

Located in Walyunga national Park, This lovely 8km trail follows the river upstream to Syd’s Rapids before heading up a steep gravel track.


THIS TICKET INCLUDES:

Your ticket includes a start to finish guided hike with our trained hike leaders. Hike leaders carry communication devices and first aid kits for your safety. Feel comfortable knowing that we will guide you through your hiking experience and you can relax and enjoy. Your ticket also covers licences and registration fees to hold group hike events in National Parks in WA. Please note a 10% ticket fee charged by Eventbrite to all ticket sales.


MEETING POINT AND GETTING THERE:

Located 35 km North East of Perth, head towards the beatufiul wine region of the swan valley, and use the location of Walyunga national Park Picnic area in your google maps. We will however, be meeting at the BOTTOM carpark in the national park. You could turn right to the carpark on the googlemaps, but keep driving straight and it will come to a dead end/carpark.


TRAIL DIFFICULTY

Bush Walk: Orange - With one solid effort steep gravel climb after the first km, this will be sure to bring a challenge. After that though, we are in for a treat of views and beautiful tranquility! bushwalking experience desireable but not expected. A great opportunity to experience a more hilly hike with a short distance.

WHAT TO WEAR & BRING:

  • Bring plenty of water ( at least 2 litres per person)

  • Comfortable clothes and sturdy trainers or hiking boots. With the uneven gravel trail, good grip soles are advised.


NATIONAL PARK ENTRY FEES:

There is a national park entry fee for this hike. $11 per vehicle.


FITNESS:

No experience required, but the ability to walk on gravel trails and uneven surfaces. With steep inclines this trail will take your breath away in more ways than one!


DOGS:

No dogs allowed as this is a national park.
