Event description

Description

Nature loving cities thrive and grow where nature and natural elements are considered a primary focus in all planning and development protocols.

This emergent perspective is becoming commonly known as “biophilic urbanism" and it has incredible potential to help increase our cities' sustainability and the resilience of the citizenry.

As a Brisbane resident with community or professional experience in implementing and encouraging nature in cities, you are invited to participate in a collaborative workshop.

This collaboration is designed to seek feedback on emerging criteria for prioritising and planning urban green space that is valuable to both the built environment and our city's people.

Come along and contribute your knowledge and experience to the growing paradigm of biophilic urbanism, a legitimate plan of action for our expanding cities.

*Morning tea will be provided

FAQs

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The campus is easily accessible by public transport and car. If you plan on driving to the campus, keep in mind on-campus parking is limited but there are paid public car parks available nearby.

You can catch the bus from a wide variety of locations to the South Bank Busway Station and the South Bank Railway Station is directly across Grey Street, behind the campus.

Plan your trip at translink.com.au or visit Cycling Brisbane for route information.

You might also walk and wander through Brisbane CBD and contemplate the many instances of nature already maintained and appreciated in our city :)
