Would you like to engage with interactive technology and learn more about how to use a smartphone or tablet?

During Queensland Multicultural Month, State Library of Queensland invites community members from diverse cultural backgrounds to come along to a guided tour of the Digital Futures Lab followed by a facilitated Tech Savvy Seniors Queensland session that will focus on a basic introduction to smartphones and tablets. This session will be delivered in English with a Greek interpreter, and other sessions offered will have Arabic, Croatian or Vietnamese interpreters on hand.

As well as learning some new digital skills, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the Digital Futures Lab and try out some cutting-edge technologies with State Library staff and volunteers.

Telstra’s Tech Savvy Seniors program offers 5 Quick Reference Training Guides in English and 11 other languages -1. Introduction to computers 2. Introduction to the internet 3. Introduction to emails 4. Introduction to social media 5. Introduction to tablets
