Event description

Description

Launch of the Manufacturing Work Health and Safety (WHS) Sector Plan 2018-2022 by SafeWork NSW.

SafeWork NSW will deliver its Manufacturing WHS Sector Plan which will provide a clear set of actions for both the manufacturing industry and SafeWork NSW to improve workplace health and safety.

The Manufacturing Sector is a priority sector called out in the Australian Work Health and Safety Strategy 2012–2022 and also in the SafeWork NSW Work Health and Safety Roadmap for NSW 2022.

The Manufacturing WHS Sector Plan, developed by SafeWork NSW alongside industry and key sector stakeholders, provides a clear set of agreed actions for both the manufacturing industry and SafeWork NSW to improve workplace health and safety. These actions will ensure that leaders and those who can influence a change, promote safe work practices, set the highest possible standards to reduce serious injuries and foster a skilled workforce who look out for each other and always keep safety ‘front of mind’.

SafeWork can’t do this alone – improving safety is everyone’s responsibility.

MINISTERIAL WELCOME: The Hon Matthew Kean MP, NSW Minister for Innovation and Better Regulation

SPEAKER: Elizabeth Tosti, Director Metropolitan Operations and Sector Initiatives, SafeWork NSW

Please Note: This is a VIP event featured at National Manufacturing Week and seating is limited. RSVPs will be closed when capacity has been reached.
