Mantras on the Mount with Vaji Raj Das
Mon. 5 December 2016, 6:45 pm – 8:30 pm AEST
Vaji Raj das' legendary ukulele chants are famous amongst kirtan lovers all around the world. Vaji started the inward journey that is spiritual life after being handed a flyer at University in New Zealand in the early 70's.
Along with his uplifting ukulele and harmonium chants, a night with Vaji Raj das will include spiritual insights into the truth of our existence, as Vaji speaks from his heart. Vaji has an uncommonly deep understanding of the self as being spiritual in essence and of our eternal relationships with the Supreme Person.
This knowledge of the true nature of our existence has been passed down through a long line of great spiritual teachers, each one a perfect student. If we follow the process of mantra meditation as it is recommended in the ancient Yoga Scriptures, take some time to read such texts and submissively approach a spiritual teacher and inquire from him, we can make significant progress in our own journey towards understanding the science of self-realisation.
This is a rare opportunity to spend an evening in association with a soul who is sincerely endeavouring to make advancement in spiritual life. Doing so will encourage and inspire you in your own individual meditation practice.
The evening is run by donation and includes a delicious vegetarian meal. The Memorial Hall, 1644 Logan Rd. Upper Mount Gravatt.
No need to book.
