About this Event

BACKGROUND

Every member of Wimmera Health Care Group's (WHCG) leadership team plays a critical role in improving the health and wellbeing of our community by supporting, guiding and motivating team members towards best performance. This workshop aims to give leaders valuable opportunities to practice key leadership skills and clarify organisational policies and processes. Leaders will gain confidence in dealing with challenging situations such as managing underperformance, identifying and acting on organisational risks, and protecting vulnerable members of our community and team.

Each session within this workshop is closely linked to our WHCG values of Kindness, Respect, Integrity, Learning and Courage, and includes ways we model our values through our daily leadership practice and behaviours.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

These workshops are open to all Leaders/2ICs that have been nominated by the Leadership Team.

This workshop assists leaders to:

  • Increase confidence in the recruitment process ensuring the selection of high quality candidates.
  • Enhance ability to guide the performance of team members via skillful delivery of timely feedback.
  • Build awareness, knowledge and communication skills that support workplace diversity and positive working relationships.
  • Clarify the purpose and documentation relating to the yearly performance review process.
  • Adopt strategies and tools to improve psychological wellbeing of self and others.
  • Gain clarity and confidence in the process of responding to staff and consumer feedback.
  • Confidently implement improvement initiatives in line with the framework.
