  • Does the District Court have jurisdiction to determine disputes arising out of a contract of insurance?
  • A discussion of recent decisions from the NSW Supreme Court and the District Court following the application of s.44(1) of the District Court Act as discussed in Forsyth v Deputy Commissioner of Taxation (2007) 231 CLR 531.
  • Is there a need for retrospective legislation?
