Beef and sheep producers are invited to a webinar/phone seminar with Agriculture Victoria’s Land Management and Livestock extension officer, Greg Bekker to discuss on-farm dam water issues and strategies to manage your livestock water supply.


What is this seminar about?
With many areas of Victoria experiencing low rain fall and minimal run off into dams, now is the time to assess your situation and develop key strategic decisions to manage your livestock water supply.

Topics will include:
• How much water do you need?
• How much water do you have?
• Setting trigger points for critical decision making
• Short term options and long-term planning

About the Presenter:
Greg Bekker is a Land Management and Livestock extension officer with over 30 years’ experience in Agriculture. Greg has dairy farmed and managed a range of large scale dryland livestock farming businesses. With a focus on whole farm planning, water management and farming systems, his experience is diverse.

Agriculture Victoria will also outline what assistance is available to producers.
